partners

Wolwedans Foundation's achievements have been the result of a team effort; without the support of our partners, we would not have been able to unlock the conservation and development opportunities that we have. Thank you to all who have stood by us in believing what is possible. Key partners for our current initiatives are as follows:

ConTine gGmbH – our first AridEden Angel
Through The AridEden Project, the Wolwedans Foundation seeks to achieve greater impact at scale, not only on its operating site but also in the surrounding area. Our vision is ambitious but responds to the urgecy to addressing global challenges at a local scale. We are seeking AridEden Angels to support us in this drive.

Our first AridEden Angel was found in the generosity of non-profit organisation, ConTine gGmbH. The AridEden Project's ambitions are aligned with the priorities set out for ConTine, including the focus on human education and the use of resources in harmony with nature. We are proud to join hands in pursuits of our common goals and are honoured to have their support.

Namibia Training Authority (NTA)
The Namibia Training Authority supports Wolwedans' commitment to developing the people of Namibia by contributing to the vocational training programmes of the Wolwedans Desert Academy. As part of its mandate, the NTA endeavours to ensure a sustainable skills delivery system under which quality vocational and technical skills are imparted to young Namibians through Vocational Education and Training programmes which meet the current and emerging needs of industries in our nation’s economy.

According to the NTA, skilled labour has been identified as a major obstacle to business development and growth for small, medium and large establishments in Namibia, which currently faces a potential risk of being dominated in the global and regional economic environments as it currently faces a high unemployment rate. The Desert Academy addresses this challenge by maintaining a significantly high pass rate, and most importantly, an employment success rate that is perhaps the most relevant indicator of a partnership that generates results.

Social Security Commission (SSC)
Since 2016 The Wolwedans Foundation has had the privilege of calling the Social Security Commission of Namibia a dedicated partner in our efforts to bring socio-economic benefit to the lives of almost 50 young Namibians through vocational training at our Wolwedans Desert Academy. This falls with the SSC's mandate and mission to support training and development through bursaries and fuinding schemes.

Wolwedans and the SSC share the vision of improving the livelihoods of future generations by stimulating the education standard and raising the bar to create a genuine difference, not just to the trainees, but to their immediate communities as well.
