Wolwedans was founded in order to take care of the natural environment of the NamibRand Nature Reserve. It is only logical that this remains core to all that we do, making sure that our ongoing operations minimise Wolwedans' own ecological footprint on this pristine environment and our shared natural resources. 

In fact, sustainability is in the Wolwedans DNA – we live it every, single day. We practice good water stewardship and conservation, are committed to being completely energy independent in the near future (powered by the sun), have precise goals to achieve best practice in wastewater and solid waste management, and have a multi-faceted approach for minimising and offsetting our carbon footprint.

Each member of our team is empowered to play their part and share our commitment with visitors, all of whom are welcome to visit our "back-of-house" operations in the spirit of transparency and raising awareness.
