small-scale manufacturing

Small-scale manufacturing can present so many opportunities to the natural entrepreneur and aspiring business owner. This can include manufacturing useful items based on a personal passion or interest, such as garden furniture made by the talented wood / metal worker, beehives made by someone whose interest was piqued by learning about the role of bees in healthy food systems, or solar cookers inspired by the programmes they were exposed to at NaDEET.

Wolwedans will create opportunities to nurture and pursue these ideas by providing exposure to new ideas, facilities to learn and develop skills during staff members' off time, and through complementary programmes such as EconoMix basic business acumen. Individuals will be supported to build a strong foundation – starting out small, just like every business, and growing, both in scale and skill level. And, perhaps, most importantly supported to believe in themselves.
