An essential aspect of the Desert Based Economy will be training entrepreneurs in entry-level economics concepts so they understand the ‘basics of business’, something most people are not taught at school. This includes financial intelligence (how to manage money and debt), costing, procurement, HR, negotiation skills, and marketing. In combination, they will comprise the content of a training scheme called ‘EconoMix’.

EconoMix will empower the entrepreneurs who pursue personal career aspirations to convert these into financially viable livelihoods so they can take charge of their own destiny and not be dependent on an 8 - 5 job as their only option. It will function interdependently with our SME Development and Desert Based Economy drives, both with the Wolwedans team and the business development activities in the surrounding area.
