NaDEET – the Namibia Desert Environmental Education Trust – is a wonderful organisation whose purpose is to protect Namibia's environment by educating people about how to live a sustainable lifestyle. Operating its programmes in the NamibRand Nature Reserve (with an office in Swakopmund), NaDEET believes that in order to promote participation in sustainable lifestyles, programmes must not only increase awareness and knowledge, but also instill eco-friendly attitudes and skills. Its range of programmes about sustainability and environmental literacy are pitched for school, community, and educator audiences.

Wolwedans supports NaDEET in a number of ways, including co-sponsoring school groups to participate in their environmental education programmes. We have also assisted with transport needs and building and infrastructure challenges, including providing materials and labour for an additional classroom and volunteer accommodation.
