One magical, inspiring and unique “happening” of the performing arts was a new dimension event hosted at (and co-sponsored by) Wolwedans in May 2018. A renowned artist/piantist who preferred to be anonymous for this performance  – The Stranger – installed himself at Chateau Namib in total isolation for 40 days. His grand piano was hoisted over the dunes and placed into a glass cube right there in the middle of nowhere. From inside this glass cube perched atop the dunes, he composed “The Desert Symphony – Mankind” with the first movement dedicated to Wolwedans.
